In the early “fabulous” 80’s, I started working with Jack Reeves (arguably the world’s best surfboard glasser) for my surfboard production here on the North Shore, and we made a lot of nice surfboards together for some of the world’s best surfers. The mid-2000 surfboard manufacturer’s “meltdown” augmented by the Clark Foam closure changed much of the overall dynamics of our production outputs, and so we had a rest. After recently speaking with Jack about the idea: we are bringing back the Reeves/Rawson combo as a limited addition style, for fine art surfboards. Jack’s glassing prices are a little more, but for the best strength to weight lams, or beautiful color work and resin pinlines: JR’s the best! Jack can be reached at: boardsofparadise@yahoo.com
